THROTTLE BODY Works Engineering Power-Plus Throttle Body Works Power-Plus Throttle Body increase horsepower and torque by optimizing airflow to your engine. On forced induction applications, this quick bolt-on has shown gains of 5-10hp. On high-output naturally aspirated engines, we have seen gains of 10+ hp. Our larger bore throttle bodies are capable of flowing enough air to support over 500hp. Work Power-Plus Throttle Bodies are precision CNC-machined from forged AL6061-T6 billet aluminium, vacuum tested, and hard anodized for increased durability.

✔️ increased air flow
✔️ improved throttle response & more horsepower throughout the entire rpm range
✔️ vacuum tested
✔️ size 70mm
✔️ CNC Aluminum Construction
✔️ Large bore increases air volume which gives faster response and more horsepower
✔️ Works with standard Intake Manifold

An aftermarket oversize throttle body is a performance part designed to increase the airflow into an engine by having a larger diameter than the stock throttle body. This allows more air to enter the engine, which can lead to increased horsepower and improved engine response, particularly at higher RPMs. It is commonly used in performance or modified vehicles, especially in cars with upgraded engines or forced induction (like turbocharged or supercharged engines).

Benefits:

  1. Increased Airflow: A larger throttle body allows more air to flow into the engine, which can support increased power, especially when combined with other performance mods like a cold air intake, exhaust system, or tuning.
  2. Better Throttle Response: The increased airflow can result in a quicker throttle response and smoother power delivery.
  3. Improved Performance at Higher RPMs: Oversized throttle bodies tend to show the most benefit at higher RPMs when the engine is demanding more air.

Considerations:

  1. Tuning: After installing a larger throttle body, it's often necessary to re-tune the vehicle’s engine control unit (ECU) to take full advantage of the increased airflow.
  2. Compatibility: Not all throttle bodies are a direct fit for every car, so make sure the aftermarket throttle body is compatible with your specific make and model.
  3. Diminishing Returns: After a certain point, installing a throttle body that is too large for the engine may lead to less noticeable gains or potential drivability issues (such as a rough idle or poor throttle response at low RPMs).

If you're considering upgrading to an oversized throttle body, be sure to pair it with other supporting mods (like an intake, exhaust, or tuning) for the best results.
